- Previously read Monthly Oct; defense situation; correo dispatch. n221 (stamp 227 — the row records savage 225, two low) carries two letters of 1797 MAYO 4, Argüello á Borica («el bando del virrey Branciforte sobre Ag.te de Caña»; and that the habilitado «economise la distribucion de efectos … todo el año de 98, y parte de 99», pp.80–81), then «1797. Enero 15. S.ta Barb.a / Felipe de Goycoechea al Gob.r Borica» enclosing the year's weather report (p.82). Not an October 1797 monthly.
The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
