VERBATIM HEADING: '1797. Junio 23. Sta Barb.a / Goycoechea a Borica. Negocio de Borregos con los frailes de Sn Juan. No quieren.' GLOSS: sheep deal with the friars of San Juan, who refuse. SUBSTANCE: the R.R.P.P. of the mision de Sn Juan write on the 18th of the current month that it does not suit them to hand over the 500 borregas primales at the price of 6 reales, and that if they do deliver them it will be to give and receive primales as they come out of the corral. Goycoechea supposes they mean the animals are not to be picked but chosen by themselves, and leaves the matter to Borica to determine as may be his superior pleasure.
