Dec 29, costs incurred for the orphan boys and girls of nursing age at Monterey presidio who came from Mexico in 1800. Dec 30, receipt of three retirement cedulas; an order on marriages and the rules to be observed. YEAR IS 1803, not 1804: the only section head governing this run is on n278 and reads 1803, and the Mayo 7 1804 letter on n293 opens 'Que en 28 de Dbre. ultimo mandó causa criminal contra dos indios y una india de Mision de S.to Tomas por haber asesinado un Misionero', which fixes the Dbre 28 entry above as 28 Dec 1803.
