First of four documents under an undated wrapper heading: 'Sin fha = Sin lugar / Sin firma / 4 documt[o]s. sobre el préstamo pa el Bergantín Morelos - Copia' [= no date, no place, no signature; 4 documents on the loan for the brigantine Morelos, a copy]. Subheaded 'Primer documento.' Echeandía reports that on receiving the superior order of the 2nd he passed it to the Administrator and Prefect of the district, 'quienes contestaron que no quedando otro arbitrio por verse agotados los recursos, que el préstamo que propuso la Junta de Comercio de este Puerto, para que se tome la cantidad nesesaria para el despacho del Bergn Morelos, de la destinada al situado de Califa, librándose a la tesorería de S. Blas en donde el Gobierno tiene su depósito' [= who replied that, resources being exhausted, no expedient remained but the loan proposed by the Acapulco Junta de Comercio, taking the sum needed to despatch the brig Morelos out of the money destined for the California situado, drawn against the San Blas treasury where the Government has its deposit]; asks that 'se sirva franquear no los seis mil pesos, sino cuando menos lo nesesario para víveres que se suministren' [= he advance not the six thousand pesos but at least what is needed for provisions]. Continues on n114, noting the unpaid wages of officers and troops destined for California and that this commissary is left without means to cover the garrisons' budgets. Closes 'Acapulco, Mzo 11 de 1825 = J. M. E (sic) = Al[?] Comiso de Cal. J. M. Herrera.' Spans n113-n114.
