- Previously read savage_page: '278–279'. Leaves read: 168036073_80_12 n280 (stamped 280, ink 154) and n281 (stamped 281, ink 155); the document genuinely spans both. Verbatim: "1844 – Julio 19 – Angeles. / Varias firmas al Ayuntami.to. / Solicitud de 14 individ.s pidiendo q.e no se abra el callejon, (mencionado ántes) p.r ser nocivo; pues q.e allí van á jugar los sirvientes lo q.e han robado á sus amos &c &c, no siendo ademas necesario q.e exista. (Se acordó q.e pase á la Asamblea). pp 526-7." The starred quotation is exact and orig_page VI·526–527 is confirmed. SAVAGE_PAGE WRONG: the record cites 278–279; the leaves carry 280/281 (stamped) and 154/155 (ink) — a magnified sweep of the n280 top strip shows only '280' and '154'. The "(de Pryor)" identification is supported by the flanking entries on the same leaves (d471 and d473 both name "el callejon de Pryor"); "14 vecinos" for the leaf's "14 individ.s" is trivial. Omissions: all other entries on n280–n281 are catalogued (d470, d471, d473, d474).
The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
