Soler on the items of his extract correcting the accounts of 'el alf.z Hermeneg.do Sal como Habilitado de ese Presidio de Monterey' for 2nd semester 1784, both semesters 1785 and 2nd semester 1786: the sums are legitimate charges embedded in the existencia and should be allowed against Sal's descubierto, but not without confrontation with the vouchers. Closing: 'no encontrando la partida de cargo de la estraccion de 2300 y tantos pesos que percibió el Habilitado y dice no pertenecia á ninguna de las existencias'. Spans n236-n237.

How to cite this document
Nicolás Soler to Pedro Fages, San Diego, 1788-09-06, Provincial State Papers, VII–VIII, pp. 151-154, Archives of California, C-A 4, Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley. [the tomo is given as the volume’s full range: this entry has not been resolved to a single tomo within VII–VIII]Cite the document by series, tomo and original tomo page, as the literature does; the C-A number locates it in the repository. To cite this catalogue entry itself, use https://archivesofcalifornia.com/record/ca4/ca4-d289.htmlThe originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
