Heading: “Prision de un soldado.” “Dice que mantiene preso al soldado Melesio Valdes en la Escolta de San Buenav.a porque no gustándole el destino, tomó por medio darle una vuelta á su muger á mañana y tarde, y que habiendo solicitado limarse las prisiones para huirse y no esperando de él ninguna enmienda, proponia el permutarlo á otro Presidio” [= soldier Melesio Valdés held at the San Buenaventura escolta; disliking the post he beat his wife morning and evening, then sought to file off his irons and flee; proposes transfer to another presidio].
