Spans n300-n301. Reply to the China-goods charge. Verbatim: 'Dice que puesto que aun no ha satisfecho al cargo sobre los efectos de China que pagó por sus sold.s al cabo José M. Ortega, y que no es suficiente la legalidad con que confiesa su yerro, no encuentra otra mas formal'. Gloss: since he has still not answered the charge over the China goods he paid for his soldiers to corporal José M. Ortega, and since the honesty with which he confesses his error is held insufficient, he can offer no more formal one. Names Ortega as the payee in the dispute.
