'Sobre cuentas.' Reiterates his petition of 1 Dec. 1826 that Tente Jose Estrada be compelled to render accounts of the national funds he held. Objects that the Comandante General left his oficio of the 1st unanswered, and demands to be told, verbatim: 'si ha o no lugar a qe el Tente Dn Jose Estrada sea estrechado a la entrega de cuentas que debe hacerme, como tengo indicado, o si altera la investidura con que se halla de Diputdo Provincial, previniendole, en el concepto de V.S., de la responsabilidad en que esta de rendir dhas cuentas' [whether or not there are grounds to compel Estrada to deliver the accounts, or whether his standing as Provincial Deputy alters matters]. If compellable, it should be verified as soon as possible; if refused, so that he may inform the Exmo Sor Ministro de Hacienda.
