Reports that despite notifying the Comisario Sub-principal that he (Carrillo) has 'ni efectos ni numerario con que pagar ni aun los sueldos mas precisos' [neither goods nor cash to pay even the most necessary salaries], he has had no answer on the matter, nor authorization 'a solicitar un prestamo con que cubrir estas urgencias'. For the same reason he cannot furnish the blankets and other items requested by Capn Pablo de la Portilla for the Mazatlan company.
