Jimeno assumes the governorship ad interim on Alvarado's illness. Verbatim: 'Con motivo de hallarse muy quebrantada la salud del E. Sor Gobernador propietario de este Departamto Dn Juan Bta Alvarado me ha encargado hoy mismo del Gobierno como 1er vocal de la Exma Junta Departamental conforme al artº 8º fraccion 2da de la 6ª Ley Constitucional', to be made known 'a los pueblos de su Distrito'. Gloss: as senior member of the Junta Departamental, Jimeno takes over the government under art. 8 sec. 2 of the Sixth Constitutional Law; the prefect is to publish it. Marginal '+'.
