Naming of an interim Secretary of the Despacho, in a note explicitly separate from the same-day succession note. Verbatim: 'he nombrado para secretario, tambien interino del Despacho al propietario de la Exma Junta Departamental Dn Jose Y. Fernandez [?], quien al efecto, ha tomado posesion de su nuevo empleo', the whole 'segun comunico a V.S. en nota separada de esta fha'. Gloss: a sitting (propietario) member of the Junta Departamental is made interim government secretary and has taken possession. Middle initial uncertain [?]. Marginal 'o'.
