Having closed the 1839 account on 31 Dec and made the cash count and inventory of 'existencias en numerario, efectos, enseres y utensilios' on 2 Jan 1840, 'las constancias deben remitirse a la Direccion Gen. dentro de los dos primeros meses del ano' together with certificates attesting 'la supervivencia e idoneidad de los fiadores de los respectivos empleados'; also a general statement of total values, salaries, admin costs and net product of the aduana for 1839.
