SUBSTANCE, Savage verbatim: 'Que Atanasio Mendoza le entregara un oficio, y que por el mismo conducto le mande los documentos de la causa que le formo a este y a Manuel Pinto por robo de ganado.' [= that Atanasio Mendoza will deliver him an oficio, and that by the same conveyance he send him the documents of the causa formed against the latter and against Manuel Pinto for cattle theft.] This closes out the Pinto and Mendoza cattle-theft file that runs through the front of the volume: the sumaria of 5 March 1823 (pp.5-6), the sentencing of 10 June 1823 (pp.27-30), and now the calling up of the case papers to Monterey.
