New Savage block heading on the leaf: '+ 1836. Junio 22. Los Angeles. (3 Dcts) pp 467.- 69. / Mar.o Chico, al Alcalde Const.al de S. José'. Three acknowledgements from Governor Mariano Chico: (1) 'Enterado de haberse organizado los cuerpos de seguridad y policia.' (2) 'Enterado de los estrangeros q.e se hallan en su jurisdiccion.' (3) 'Enterado de q.e hay un solo preso.' [= noted that the security and police corps have been organized; noted the foreigners found in that jurisdiction; noted that there is only one prisoner.] Places Chico corresponding from Los Angeles on 22 June 1836 and shows San José reporting a foreigner register and a jail state to him.
