Departmental Records, tomo I · BANC MSS C-A 46, document 214

Reply on Capt. José Romero's Sonora-road expedition: Argüello sent '40 homb.s de auxilio, q.e le acompañasen hta. las margenes corresp.tes del Rio Colorado; cuyo diario acompaña', but 'no se logro el ecsito q.e me prometia, en su retirada, ni llegó al punto de su destino, ha regresado'; cannot renew the attempt because 'los naturales indias... han llamado, poniendo en movim.to las pocas tropas q.e guarnesen la prov.a'; will facilitate Romero's retirada when things improve and asks Urrea to concert where the divisions can meet.
