Mar.o Payeras (q.e en paz descanze) y q.e el cargo de la Prefectura... ha recaido interinam.te en V.R.'; despite 'ser carga pesada y la edad de V.P.', trusts 'con auxilios del todo poderoso' it will not be so burdensome, 'ofreciendome yo con mis limitados alcanzes á coadyuvar' — condolence + recognition of Señán as interim prefect.
