Bodega y Quadra at San Blas is fitting out a guairo for the Sonora coast mail run, and the viceroy has ordered the same done with 'una pequeña Goleta que trajo de Nuca, D.n Estevan Martinez' [= Nutka/Nootka]; with these two and the existing launch, three small vessels serve the peninsula's internal traffic and official/public correspondence. He has also ordered another larger schooner built at San Blas to carry situados and provisions for troops and missionaries, and inclines to having supplies bought in Sonora.
