Long informe on the settlers' accounts of Los Angeles and the rest of the Californias, open since 1782 under a royal order of 24 October and never closed (six years' ajustes through 1786 inclusive; charge passed to Contador de Resultas D.n José Monter by decree of 27 November). After exhaustive examination the accountants report defeat: 'tenemos q.e contestar de buena fé q.e es impracticable, por ahora la operacion de una perfecta liquidacion, no solo por falta de Noticias y Documentos q.e se hechan menos en este Real Tribunal.' Runs past this chunk (still continuing at n256); Savage's closing page-cite lies beyond n254.
