ORPHAN TAIL. Only the closing lines survive on n88 because the preceding transcript leaf (printed 86 / handwritten 84, covering orig pp. ~120-122) was never scanned: «Acusa recibo de testamento de Jose de la Cruz que le envio lo hiciera cumplir y archivase.» Acknowledges receipt of the will of José de la Cruz, sent so that it be executed and archived. Date, sender and addressee are on the missing leaf; by position in the Santa Barbara run it is very likely Fages ↔ Goycoechea, 1789 — NOT verified. Rowed so the document is not lost to the catalog; needs the original tomo to complete.
