'Estado de los fondos de la Mision.' Acknowledges the order of the 10th directing that half of the weekly matanzas go to satisfy Padre Mercado's credit with various private parties and that the tower's costs be met at once. 'Que la finca tiene muchas deudas; y qe. desde qe. él está allí no se ha hecho ninguna matanza semanaria, sino quincenales, pr. la escacez de ganado; qe. las matanzas semanarias han sido pr. cuenta de particulares' [the estate is deep in debt; since he arrived the slaughters have been fortnightly not weekly for want of cattle, and the weekly ones were on private account]. Directly rebuts Mercado's charge in pp. 401-4. Tomo IX.
