Verbatim: 'Participando qe el 16 falleció el Ministro de aquella finca, Fr. Buenaventura Fortuni, acaecido en Sta Barbª á donde pasó á curarse.' [Gloss: reports the death on 16 Dec 1840 of San Buenaventura's minister Fr. Buenaventura Fortuní, at Santa Bárbara, where he had gone for treatment.] The internal '16' is what fixes the heading date as the 25th, not the 15th.
