Tomo X. Having delivered the mission on 24 Aug to comisionado Ignacio del Valle, the minister asks six things: 1º a house with stable, 'sean todos los cuartos de la Yglesia'; 2º an allotment of seeds and feed for his horses; 3º that all church property with the wine stay under his responsibility; 4º 'Que se obligue á los indigenas á asistir á las doctrinas todos los dias y á misa los dias de precepto. Pues que el dia de Santa Cruz dejaron al padre solo en el altar con 3 indios y 4 ó 5 mugeres'; 5º 'Que se haga el reparto de la ropa que hay en el almacen'; 6º 'Que los comisionados tengan precaución para no fomentar odio contra los ministros.' [= at the moment of secularization the Santa Cruz Indians simply stopped coming to mass].
