Indian resistance to schooling. Que ha ocurrido á sus padres, y que estos lo dedican á trabajos penosos p.a su tierna edad y aun los esconden cuando el va á buscarlos' [= the primary school stands empty; neither kindness nor heavy floggings and confinement have worked; the parents put the children to labour too hard for their years and hide them when the schoolmaster comes looking].
