State Papers, Missions and Colonization, tomo I · BANC MSS C-A 52, document 49

RECOVERED BY THE PHASE-4 AUDIT 2026-08-27 — this had NO record: it sat inside the over-long span of the preceding band and was invisible. Heading verbatim: '1779 - Junio 1 - Mont.y / Felipe de Neve - = Reglam.to e Instruccion p.a los Pres.os de la Peninsula, ereccion de nuevas Mis.nes y fomento del pueblo y estens.n de los Establecim.to de Mont.y' [= Regulation and Instruction for the presidios of the Peninsula, the erection of new missions, and the fostering of the pueblo and the extension of the establishments of Monterey]. Savage adds: '(se saco copia en pagmas 507-580 y 598-682 de estos documentos.)' then his cite 'pp. 733-70.' This is NEVE'S REGLAMENTO of 1 June 1779, the foundational governing instrument of Alta California. Only the heading and Savage's cross-reference sit on this leaf; the text is the copy he points to at pp. 507-580 and 598-682.
