GLOSS: acting Governor Arrillaga to the commandants of the northern presidios, on the troops who built the presidios. SUBSTANCE: he sends them 4 enclosed copies so that each may take cognizance of their contents and draw off a copy for his own record. Supposing that the sums referred to will have arrived, he warns that the money corresponds to the pay of the individuals who worked on the material works of the Presidio, and that each Habilitado is to keep it in his possession until he reports on several doubts that have occurred to him, whose decision he awaits from S.E. Each is to inform him whether any note or list exists specifying the individuals who have worked at each presidio, how long, and in short everything conducive to the purpose.
