Substance: Marquina transcribes his order to the Ministro principal of San Blas. In conformity with the Tribunal de Cuentas, the pedimento of the Fiscal de Real Hacienda and the parecer of the Asesor general, he decrees that the 25 1/2 arrobas of hemp remitted by the Governor of California be admitted at that Department for now and without serving as precedent, its defects to be pointed out so as to improve the product, paid at 3 1/2 pesos the arroba and the amount reimbursed. The Condestable Sanchez, who knows the sowing and working of hemp, is to pass to California at the Governor disposal to perfect that branch of industry, with a proportionate gratificacion, without prejudice to serving in the batteries when needed. Finally the commanders of the ships carrying the memorias to California are to receive at the water edge all hemp presented, to carry it to San Blas, paying its value in cash advanced by the presidial habilitados with quality of reintegro afterwards by that Treasury, the hemp first to be inspected by the contadores of those ships.
