Superior Government State Papers, Benicia, tomo XIX–XXI · BANC MSS C-A 58, document 51

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: the document lay inside the declared span of a grouped entry covering n53-n71, which had passed every completeness check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ 1830. Mayo 12. Mejico. / Joaquin Arellano al comdte de Calªs / Decreto sobre medidas contra la fabricacn de moneda falsa. - Mejº. Abril 28/30. - / p. 407-8.' [= 1830, May 12, Mexico. Joaquin Arellano to the comandante of the Californias. Decree on measures against the manufacture of counterfeit coin, Mexico, April 28, 1830.] An 1830 item sitting inside a grouped entry whose date_text is '1828', which is by itself proof the band's date field is unreliable. Substantively a counterfeiting decree remitted to the military commandant of California.
