Heading “Sobre titulo de Castilla.” The coronel José Francisco Martínez de Aldunate having solicited a título de Castilla, S.M. resolved the manner and form of proof of the three qualities of “Nobleza, riqueza y servicios personales” that pretenders to such a title must make. A súplica was addressed to the audiencia de Chile, the petitioner being a native of the ciudad de Santiago en el reyno de Chile, to take the justification of the necessary requisites; that audiencia, “considerando la solicitación superflua,” does not grant the said colonel the title he seeks. Savage adds “(Esta Cedula fué estendida con fecha: Madrid 13 de Abril 1791.)”
