SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: '+ 1833. = Marzo 23 - Mont. / J. M. Maldonado' [= 1833, March 23, Monterey. José María Maldonado.] 'Reglamento Municipal.' EIGHTEEN original pages, the longest single item in the band and the municipal code of the territory itself, drafted by Maldonado, later secretary of the Diputación. Savage gives the title and nothing more. Together with the Reglamento interior de la Diputacion (pp. 371-86) this band conceals both of the Californio legislature's foundational rule-books behind a record headed 'the Sept 1835 sessions'. The year reads 1833 at magnification (four clear digits, the last two identical in form), which places the draft nine weeks after Figueroa took office and three months before his 19 June transmittal.
