Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: the document lay inside the declared span of a grouped entry covering n137-n155, which had passed every completeness check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ - 1845. - Mayo 9. - Angs / (Sesion de este dia.)' [= 1845, May 9, Los Angeles. Session of this day.] Three distinct pieces of business, at least two of them substantial. First, a land grant: the comision del ramo presents its dictamen approving the concession made by the Government of the terreno 'Temacula' [Temecula] in favor of Feliz Valdez, for whom Luis Vignes is legally acting as representative; Admitido. That is a documented Asamblea confirmation of the Temecula grant with Vignes as the named legal representative, and it has no record. Second, and more consequential, the territorial reorganization: the President recommends prompt dispatch of the matter of the division politica y territorial del Departamento, whereupon the Vocal Figueroa objects that the comision de gobernacion has not had sufficient information on the number of inhabitants comprising the demarcations of the Districts from Monterey up to the northernmost points of the Territory, and, believing such information would be supplied by the Diputados who have been summoned, proposes that their arrival be awaited so that the commission should not act lightly 'en un asunto de tan vital importancia'; the objection was taken into consideration. This is the Pico-era redistricting question being deliberately stalled for want of northern population data, three months after the Asamblea deposed Micheltorena. Third, the same citizen Figueroa asks to be excused from the commission that is to consider the plan de Arbitrios of the Municipality of the Capital, on the ground of being an interested party, being a proprietor of vineyards (the recusal text runs over onto n154, where the session resolves, 'teniendo presente el buen proceder de Figueroa', that he continue on the commission). Also on n154 within this session: Botello recalls and asks that his earlier proposition on the establishment of two Tribunales Mercantiles be given course, and Valle explains the commission's delay on the tribunals as owing to other business of greater importance.
