Legislative Records, tomo III–IV · BANC MSS C-A 61, document 183

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: it lay inside the span of a grouped entry covering n156-n190, which satisfied every coverage check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ 1845 - Junio 13. - Angˢ / (Sesion de este dia.)' [= 1845, June 13, Los Angeles. Session of this day.] Diputado Noriega is introduced into the session hall, takes the customary oath and his seat. Successive approval of the Fitch, Flugge and Snook expedientes; second reading of the Machado dictamen, put to discussion in general, Botello again insisting it not be admitted; art. 1 approved, art. 2 replaced by a new text sending the diligencias and the expediente back to the same commission, art. 3 approved with Botello voting no. Then the item of most weight, on n171: an account is given of a Suprema Comunicacion of April inserting the instructions given to D. Jose Mª Hijar, commissioned to the Departmental Government of California to investigate the recent events and to promote the prosperity of the Department; Valle moves that the Supreme Government be thanked for its indulgence to the Department, approved; Botello proposes a commission wait on the Comisionado in the name of the Asamblea, approved, Valle, Noriega and Figueroa being named to it.
