VERBATIM HEADING: '1797. Abril 3.o Sta Barb.a / Goycoechea a Borica.' GLOSS: Goycoechea to Borica, Santa Barbara, 3 April 1797. SUBSTANCE: enterado of the superior resolution of the viceroy of 31 Oct 96; in compliance he sends the relacion of '423 balas sobrantes que corresponden al bienio de 92 y 93' so that Borica may dispose of them. NOTE: Savage writes balas, but the itemised count on the following leaf totals exactly 423 and is of bulas de la Santa Cruzada, so balas here is a slip for bulas.
