Provincial State Papers, tomo VII–VIII · BANC MSS C-A 4, document 442

English gloss: Ugarte to Fages, the grant of invalid (disability-pension) status to soldiers disabled in the service. The point of the order is that disability incurred in work details, not only in combat, qualifies a man for the inválido grant. Document opens at the foot of n201 under a + mark and closes at the head of n202, where Savage writes the page cite. The upper half of n201 is the tail of the mando-militar royal order anchored at n206... corrected: anchored at n197 (export doc for n197 to n200), which ends on n201 with the cite pp 34-39.

The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
