Verbatim heading: '1788 Diciembre 11 - San Vicente / Diego Gonzalez á Fages, sobre pedimento de no remocion'. English gloss: Diego González to Fages, petition not to be transferred. González asks Fages to revoke the order moving him off his own Monterey company to command the Antigua California frontier escorts belonging to Loreto, arguing that the Loreto company already has a captain while he stands at the head of his own. Second of two documents on this leaf; note it is dated three days earlier than the document Savage entered above it.
