Verbatim heading: 1845. - Set. 27. - Mont. / Admor. J. B. Alvarado. - á Jacinto Rodríguez y Panfilo Soberanes. English gloss: Administrator J. B. Alvarado to Jacinto Rodriguez and Panfilo Soberanes, Monterey, 27 September 1845. Substance, Savage abstract verbatim: Communicandoles su nombramiento para reforzar el resguardo de la Recept.a de San Francisco y ordenandoles emprendan su marcha á su destino á donde se presentaran al Receptor Rafael Pinto. Notifies the two men of their appointment to reinforce the revenue guard (resguardo) of the San Francisco receptoria and orders them to set out at once and report to Receptor Rafael Pinto. Pairs directly with the published n134 row of 30 August 1845 announcing Pinto as receptor: this is Alvarado staffing the enforcement arm under him, one month before the Sausalito relaxation of the 26th on the same opening. Entirely on gap leaf n135; the rest of the leaf is blank.
