Reports heavy bear depredation on the royal herd: 'se ha esperimentado en el Ganado de Real Hacienda bastante aberia causada por los Osos; que han muerto algunas Caveras, sin escapar Vacas grandes, toretes, y becerros que de toda especie hecho preisa.' To check the damage 'los mas de los dias salga una partida de soldados, en seguimiento de tales animales à ver si por este medio los puedo agotar ó retirar.'
