Heading: 'sobre persecucion à unos Indios que se huyeron llevandose unos Caballos.' The aggressors the recua soldiers saw at San Juan Bautista were already among the twelve remitted: 'el mismo dia que se tubo el aviso, se les cayó al amanecer del dia siguiente en la sierra de frente de las Llagas,' so no further sorties were needed — 'à todos quantos eran comprendidos en dichos ecsesos fueron los doce que di parte à U.S.' Cabo Macario ordered that whenever the two remaining runaways appear in rancherías near the Pueblo he charge them 'con una partida de seis, u ocho hombres,' borrowing two or three men from Cabo Pacheco's escolta, and remit them secured.
