Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: it lay inside the span of a grouped entry covering n240-n269, which satisfied every coverage check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '1797 - Mayo 11 - Monterey / Borica al P. Sanchez: Limites de la Misn. de Santa Clara y Pueblo de Sn. Jose.' [= 1797, May 11, Monterey. Borica to Father Sanchez: boundaries of Mission Santa Clara and the pueblo of San Jose. (Formally a decree of referral, endorsed on Sanchez's letter.)] Borica's decree, and the operative order behind the entire 1797 survey. 'Pase este Espediente al Ingro. extraordo. Dn. Cordova is then to set the mojoneras the vecinos must immediately erect, and to draw up the corresponding diligencia in full clarity so that no doubt arises in future about the dividing line of Mission and Pueblo, 'firmando en ella los RR. PP. Two things make this a substantive loss rather than a formality. First, it names the deceased Moraga's final auto (the very 1783 dossier that record d36 covers) as the controlling instrument, which ties the band's own contents to the 1797 case. Second, it rules that all measurement runs from the ORIGINAL pueblo site the settlers were moved off, not the ground they then occupied, 'por estar asi determinado por la superioridad' - and the superior determination it is invoking is the document sitting immediately below it on the same leaf.
