State Papers, Missions and Colonization, tomo I · BANC MSS C-A 52, document 76

Heading verbatim: '+ 1797 - Branciforte / Sal.' Entire text verbatim: 'Son 7 revtas. de los poblad.s desde Jun.º hta. D.bre. Los nombres son los mismos q.e se encuentran en la pagina 380. de estos manuscriptos.' [= these are 7 muster rolls of the settlers from June to December; the names are the same as those found on page 380 of these manuscripts]. A short Savage note standing in place of seven monthly Branciforte settler musters he declined to copy out. Load-bearing for method: the page 380 he cross-refers to is the INK corner 380, which is leaf n375, the leaf that does carry the nine names; the stamped corner 380 is leaf n378 and carries nothing of the kind. Savage internal page references in this volume therefore run on the ink corner, not the stamp.
