Legislative Records, tomo III–IV · BANC MSS C-A 61, document 174

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: the document lay inside the declared span of a grouped entry covering n137-n155, which had passed every completeness check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ - 1845. - Mayo 14 - Angs / (Sesion de este dia.)' [= 1845, May 14, Los Angeles. Session of this day.] The session that actually enacts what the band's summary vaguely credits to the band as a whole: 'Aprobado el plan de Arbitrios presentado por el Ayuntamto de los Angs en 12 de Mayo actual', that is, the Los Angeles plan de arbitrios presented on 12 May is approved. The session then takes up a documented petition, the text running onto n156: a solicitud of Juan Wamen [as written; I am inferring this is a rendering of an Anglo surname such as Warner, and flag the reading as uncertain] seeking approval of the concession made to him by the Government of the paraje 'San Jose', jurisdiction of San Diego; passed to the respective Commission. A second San Diego-district land concession moving through the Asamblea, with no record.

The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
